Notes from the CEO: First Step

[March 6, 2025] Last month, I emailed every member asking for your help in getting HB25-1118 Catalytic Converter Replacement Part out of the Energy and Environment Committee. Your calls and emails to the legislators worked as they delayed the bill for two weeks allowing us to garner support from consumer and environmental groups. This committee is the toughest one to appear before and they voted 12-1 in favor thereby moving the bill one step closer to being passed. There is more work ahead of us, but everyone should be proud of this accomplishment since in the past the bill never made it of committee.

I guarantee you CIADA will always work tirelessly on your behalf until the problem is solved. This is why your membership is so important. Currently there are 1,392 independent dealers in Colorado. As of today, we have 1,238 members (89%) in our association, which helps get legislators to listen to us. You, your employees, and family members are their constituents, and they count on your vote to get elected. Together, we have a powerful voice that needs to be heard and that is why I am asking for your continued support by contributing $75 to our PAC Fund.
